Name of foil
You can change the name of the foil using the shortcut menu.
2D, 3D
You can specify whether the smart symbol is displayed in 2D and/or in 3D. Click the relevant check box(es).
From scale
You can define the scale from which the foil is displayed (scale range's lower limit).
To scale
You can specify the scale up to which the foil is displayed (scale range's upper limit including the value entered).
(A) S 1:1 to S 1:51
(B) S 1:52 to S 1:201
Note: The reference scale at which the smart symbol is usually displayed should always be within the validity range defined by the upper and lower limits.
Example
Drawing type
You can define that the foil is only displayed in conjunction with specific drawing types.
Select the check box and the drawing type(s).
Note: When the display of a smart symbol (foil) is defined based on the Drawing type, the Reference scale settings are ineffective as long as the relevant drawing type is active. The smart symbol is always displayed, regardless of the reference scale set. Only when the drawing type is set to NONE do the settings for Reference scale apply.
R Pnt1, R Pnt2
These two points define the resizing points. The following applies:
Foil A, B, C
This is where you define the foils on which the smart symbol is displayed. Click the relevant check box(es).
Note: You can show/hide these foils using Show/Hide.
Resizing combination X, Y, Z
Vx=Vx, Vy=Vy, Vz=Vz
Here you can configure a smart symbol to resize in the other directions when it is resized in one direction. Select the desired resizing combination (Vx=Vx, Vy=Vy, Vz=Vz).
Example:
Vx=Vx
Vy=Vx
Vz=Vz
Whenever the smart symbol is resized in the x direction, the change will be applied to the y direction. This can be useful for door swings, for example.
You can assign an animation surface to all 3D elements of a foil.
Note: *varied* indicates that different animation surfaces are assigned to the 3D elements of a foil. You can assign a common animation surface to all the 3D elements of the foil.
If a single element of the foil is to be given a new surface, use Modify design entities in smart symbol foil (n) on the shortcut menu of the foil.
