Cross Sections

Assign the cross-sections to the individual station points of the subdivided pier

This may be done already within the framework of interactive definition of the girder, or supplementary. Previous semi-automatic definitions may be individually manually modified.

Cross sections are assigned before and after each station point to allow a sudden change of the cross section or jumps in the variation curve.

Table Cross Sections

Global Station

List of global station points due to the subdivision defined in Stationing.

Local Station

List of local station points due to the subdivision defined in Stationing.

Side

BACK/FRONT: Position in front of respectively behind the respective station point

Cross Section

Assignment of the cross section (see instructions below)

Variant

Display of the cross section variant generated in accordance with the variation of the cross-section.

Skew about Y / Skew about Z

Angle Expression

Assignment of a table or formula to an angle

Angle

Rotation angle of the cross section about its local Y- or Z-axis

Stretch

Stretching of the rotated cross section to the original edge of the not rotated cross section

To assign cross sections to station points

Drag the desired cross section from the menu Cross Sections with drag&drop to a certain field of the column Cross Section to assign it to this station.
Or:

Drag the cross section to the header of the column Cross Section to assign it to all stations.
Alternatively, you may assign a cross section to individual stations by selecting it from the drop-down menu of the respective fields.
You can also mark one or several lines (shift key) and copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) them.
Further, you can copy (drag & fill) one or several marked lines to an arbitrary number of consecutive lines (in the same pattern). To do so, first mark the wished line or lines which you want to copy to the consecutive lines. Then click the small dark blue box at the bottom right corner of the selection box and drag it over the wished lines.
