Insert boundary point
This tool comprises 2 applications:
Application 1: Insert a point in a polyline of an existing boundary at an intersection point of two parametric lines or at a parametric point.
Application 2: Continue a polyline of an open boundary (i.e. a boundary which has not been closed yet).
To insert one or several points in a boundary
- Click Insert boundary point.
- Click the desired boundary line (or the starting point of the line) in which you want to add a point.
- Click the intersection point of two parametric lines or a parametric point to define the position of the point to be inserted. Alternatively, you can define the position directly with the mouse cursor.
Hint: Press ESC to cancel the whole input procedure so far and quit the tool.
- Directly create further boundary points in the same selected line (back to 3.) or confirm the input with the enter key or by clicking the (last) inserted point once again.
- Continue using the tool for one of the two applications (back to the respective step 2.) or quit the tool with ESC.
To continue the polyline of an open boundary
- Click Insert boundary point.
- Click the end point of the polyline of the boundary, at which you want to continue the definition of the boundary.
- Proceed as described in Create boundaries by points/lines to continue the polyline of the boundary.
- Continue using the tool for one of the two applications (back to the respective step 2.) or quit the tool with ESC.
