Extraction body

Create a structural member of the type “extraction body” on the basis of a respective existing template (see Template / Extraction body)

You can create an arbitrary number of extraction bodies from one particular extraction body template at different positions which are all linked to the same template.

To create a new extraction body from a template

1. Select the tool Extraction Body from template.

   Note: You can also directly drag & drop the wished extraction body template from the project navigation tree into the view window.

2. Optionally, edit the name and the description in the opening input window.
3. Select the extraction body template from the drop-down menu in the same window from which you want to create the extraction body, and confirm the input with OK.

   A new extraction body is created in the menu Bodies in the project navigation tree.

   The extraction body is now also displayed at the cursor position in the view window of the 3D model.

4. For defining the Geometric Positions 1 and 2 of the extraction body, analogously proceed as described in Prism in the steps 4 and 5.

After creating the extraction body, there are available numerous tools for editing and modifying via its context menu (marking in the 3D View window).

Use the Property window to edit all performed inputs. Additionally, you can adjust there the position/orientation of the extraction body (see Prism).
