Selection of the tension type and component to be displayed for a specific Results view

The desired tension type (normal tension distribution), shear tension distribution or tension at point) is selected by pressing the corresponding button to that effect.

The selection for the selected/active Results view is still stored.

Normal tension distribution

Note: The normal tension distribution on the cross-section(derived from the biaxial tension state) can only be used for the Colored surfaces display type and only becomes active when this is selected.

The drop-down menu can be used to switch between the primary, secondary and total results here.

Shear tension distribution

Note: The shear tension distribution on the cross-section can only be used for the Colored surfaces display type and only becomes active when this is selected.

The desired shear tension component can be selected via the drop-down menu together with the display of the primary, secondary and total results.

Tension at point

Note: For the Colored surfaces display type, the at-point result is displayed evenly distributed over the entire cross-section.

Use the first drop-down menu to select the tension component here.

Note: At present, only normal tensions can be displayed.

The second drop-down menu can be used to switch between the primary, secondary and total results here.

The third drop-down menu is used to select the tension point for which the results are to be displayed.

Solid

Selection of the tension component to be displayed in the direction of the global coordinate axes, in relation to the element body or the reference system of a docking point.

Reference systems can be created using the right mouse button in the Reference systems tab of the layer window and the docking point can then be selected interactively in the 3D model window.

Normal tension sx

Normal tension of the respective body in the x-direction of the selected reference system

Normal tension sy

Normal tension of the respective body in the y-direction of the selected reference system

Normal tension sz

Normal tension of the respective body in the z-direction of the selected reference system

Shear tension txy

Shear tension of the respective body in the xy-plane of the selected reference system

Shear tension txz

Shear tension of the respective body in the xz-plane of the selected reference system

Shear tension tyz

Shear tension of the respective body in the yz-plane of the selected reference system
