FF Reinforcement
Tools: Secondary Reinforcement
You can use this tool to automatically create and place secondary wall reinforcement in the Precast Wall task area.
To place secondary wall reinforcement
- Select
Edit Element (How) or
Element Plan (How), select a precast wall element, and click
Secondary Reinforcement. - Click
FF Reinforcement on the Secondary Reinforcement context toolbar. - Define the default settings for placing the secondary wall reinforcement by selecting the required buttons.
- Click OK to confirm the settings.
- Select the catalog and click the required .
Before selecting the component, you can mirror all components by selecting the
Mirror about y-axis option. Thus, you can adjust unsymmetrical components to the existing outline.
This option also applies to all additional components, but you can change it every time you enter a component.
- Click OK to confirm the dialog box.
A preview of the component is attached to the crosshairs. Before placing it, you can define the placing parameters in the dialog box. By using the shortcut menu, you can mirror the entire component and specify how the bending shape looks.
- Move the crosshairs across the workspace. The component expands as soon as it detects an appropriate component geometry,
- Click on the workspace to place the component
or
right-click in the workspace to open the shortcut menu and choose
Use handles to adjust component. Select the handles and the required edges. When you have finished, select the Esc key.
In addition, you can by clicking
on the shortcut menu. The dialog boxes open. - Define the reinforcement parameters, such as the
Diameter,
Bar spacing,
Bar length, and
Concrete cover, in the dialog boxes. You can immediately see these settings on the screen.
You can enter global values or bar-based values.
You can have the program calculate the bar lengths.
You can enter the , or you can have the program calculate the width automatically. In addition, you can enter the
Number of bars and the
Spacing of the longitudinal reinforcement.Note: By using
Record management, you can save the component parameters and retrieve them later.
You can use the
option to globally replace individual parameters by entering the old and new values.
Click
to expand the dialog box so that you can make further precast-specific definitions. The Reports tool provides various reports for analyzing the reinforcement.
- Click OK to confirm the dialog box, define the parameters for automatic placement, and click
Automatic Placement.
