Task area Rooms, Surfaces, Stories

You can use this tool to calculate areas, outputting the results in reports. The type and scope of the calculation is dictated by the report you select.

Reports are used for analyzing data in ALLPLAN. They are saved as templates in RDLC format.

Reports can be printed, placed as PDF files in documents and exported to Excel and other formats.
You can change the layout of reports and save the result as a new template.

Rooms, surfaces, stories - area calculation

To analyze floor area in reports

1. Click Area Calculation, DIN277, Application (How).
   

   Activate Area Calculation, Application in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Architecture Task Finish Task area Rooms, Surfaces, Stories

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture Rooms, Surfaces, Stories

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Rooms, Surfaces, Stories

2. Select a folder and report in the Area Calculation, DIN277, Application dialog box.

   Clear Quantity Calculations

3. Define the parameters for the report in the Area Calculation, DIN277, Application dialog box.
4. Click OK to confirm.
5. Select the rooms or stories you want to analyze.

   Tip: You can use Find Elements in the input options to enter criteria for finding rooms.

   Tip: You can use Group Rooms, Stories in the input options to enter the name of a group of rooms or stories. Allplan then analyzes this group.

   Report Viewer opens, displaying the report.

6. You can edit the report as follows:
   • You can customize the report.
   • Print
   • You can place the report in the current document.
   • You can save the report as a file in Excel, PDF, or Word format.
   • You can modify the report by using Layout Designer and save the changes as a new template in RDLC format.
7. Print or save the report.

   Tip: You can place the report in the current document.
