Tools: Area Calculation, Application + Finishing Surfaces + Room - parameters
This is new in the version of DIN 277:2012-08:
Gross floor area (GFA)
The term "gross floor area" was added and is defined as being the total floor area or a part of the building, regardless of its usability.
Usage area types
The USA 1 to USA 7 usage area types are taken unchanged.
Net room area (NRA)
The calculation rules for net room area have been amended considerably: When it comes to calculation, the clear dimensions between the design entities at the level of the upper edge of the floor or ceiling coverings are now set.
Cubic contents of the building
The gross room volume is more clearly defined as the "total cubic contents of a building or a story".
The calculation rules for gross room area, net room area and cubic contents have only changed in terms of details regarding the naming.
Floor area of plot
When it comes to the plot area, the reference to the land register is removed so that the plot area now covers "the total area of a plot".
