Import IFC Data function /
IFC Import Settings (advanced) dialog box
You can use this dialog box to specify default settings for importing IFC data. The IFC 2x3, IFC 4 or IFC 4.3 formats are supported. The respective format of the IFC file to be imported is automatically recognized.
In addition, ALLPLAN also provides pre-defined exchange profiles for IFC files created using Autodesk Revit or G&W California.
Note: Where required, you can also specify additional custom settings by expanding the dialog box using the Settings button (see IFC Import Settings (advanced) dialog box).

Spatial structure to import
Display the building structure in the IFC file and use the structural levels to select the components to be imported.
Select the structural levels whose components should be imported.
3D view
If the option is selected then the components contained in the structural levels in Spatial structure to import are shown in a 3-dimensional preview.
Adjusting the display takes place via the tools in the Window toolbar such as
Projection,
Zoom All,
Perspective view and the View type list box. The view is controlled by using the mouse in the same way as with the graphics window (see "Controlling the view by using the mouse").
File name

Enter the path and name for the import file directly (file ending .ifc, .ifcXML or .ifczip) or click Browse.
Browse
Click Browse to define the storage location and file name of the file to be imported via the Open dialog box.
Exchange profile
List box
Select one of the pre-defined exchange profiles or click Settings to make your own customized import settings.
Settings
If you want to use import settings that differ from those in the pre-defined exchange profile, click Settings. You can then customize your own settings in the IFC Import Settings (advanced) dialog box.

Restore basic settings
Restores all settings to the basic settings.
