Define whether you want to use the general

Allplan Style or the

US Standard Style.

When you select US Standard Style, you can freely enter the Fileset number to specify the drawing that contains the section. This number will be included in the direction symbol. To delete the text for the fileset number, click

at the end of the box.
The Continuous clipping line is automatically selected for Drawing in the Clipping line area. You can choose the side on which you want to create the direction symbol in the Direction symbol area. The type and size of the direction symbol will automatically be selected.

Define the text parameters of the section identifier by clicking the Set button. Allplan places the section identifier at the same angle as the clipping line.

Use Drawing to define whether the clipping line is a dashed line (default setting) or a continuous line.

When you select the dashed line, you can define the Length of line segments.

Define the format properties for the clipping line and the direction symbols. The section object also uses the layer selected.

You can use Place direction symbol to display the clipping line with direction symbols.

Select this option to choose a Direction symbol and define the Size in mm, inches. When you have selected the Allplan Style, the value you enter defines the size of the direction symbol (enter 0 to automatically define the size). When you have selected the US Standard Style, the value you enter defines the diameter of the circle.

Direction symbol for Allplan style

The direction symbol will be created within a min-max box whose height matches the defined size and whose width is 1.6 times this height. If you enter 0 for the size, the text height of the label defines the height of the min-max box.

The height of the actual symbol is three-quarters of the height of the min-max box. The distance between the tip of the symbol and the inner edge of the min-max box is the same as the height.

Note: The length of the line segments starts at the min-max box of the direction symbol.

Direction symbol for US standard style

Size in mm, inches defines the diameter of the circle that includes the section identifier and drawing number. This automatically defines the size of the section triangle. The size of the rectangle symbol on the opposite side is fixed and depends on the reference scale only. The symbols are at an absolute distance of 6 mm from the section object. The length of the line segments starts at the section object.

If you select the US Standard Style, you specify here whether the direction symbol is created in the direction of the viewing direction on the

left side, on

both sides or on the

right side of the section body.
