Automatic Span Reinforcement
Tool(s): Enter Area Reinforcement
You can use this tool to generate reinforcement based on FEA results for slabs. The reinforcement generated is normal area reinforcement and can be edited using the standard modification tools provided.
To use FEA results for automatic reinforcement
- Click
Enter Area Reinforcement (How). On the context toolbar, select
Automatic Span Reinforcement - Select the FEA results you want to use as the basis for the reinforcement by selecting one of the displayed in the Drawing file area.
- Enter settings for the other parameters in the Create Reinforcement Automatically dialog box.
- Enter the or click Copy in the input options to use an existing shell.
- If you work in Reinforce with 3D model mode and you have not created the outline polygon in an existing view, you need to select an existing view to which you want to add the span reinforcement created automatically.
Note: If views are not defined, you cannot create automatic span reinforcement.
- Modify the outline polygon using the tools on the context toolbar and define the location of the placement in space so as to establish the relationship (offset) between the defined spatial plane and the placement (with Reinforce with 3D model only).
- Click OK to confirm the settings.
- Define the shape for each side of the polygon and click OK to confirm.
- Due to the settings in the dialog box, you may get additional information on the reinforcement you just created. Place these details in the workspace.
