Measure Volume

You can use this tool to measure the volume of a solid.

To measure the volume of an element

1. Click Measure Volume.

   Or

2. Click Measure (How) and then Volume.
   

   Activate Measure in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Grupo de herramientas Measure

   • Menu bar: Tools

   • Keyboard: CTRL+ALT+M

   • Toolbar: Default
3. Click an edge or corner of the 3D solid or object whose volume you want to know.

   The following values are displayed:

   • V: volume of the solid/object
   • Sf: surface area of the solid/object
   • SX: X-coordinate of the solid’s center of gravity
   • SY: Y-coordinate of the solid’s center of gravity
   • SZ: Z-coordinate of the solid’s center of gravity
4. Do the following:
   • Click Set precision to specify the decimal places for the values returned. The values are rounded off accordingly.
   • Click to place the measurement result as text (only possible if you have not selected the measurement tool while another tool is active).
   • Click one of the values to use it for a tool.
   • Click and then, in the dialog box, click a value to copy it to the Clipboard.
   • Click OK to measure another element.
   • Click Cancel to quit the measurement tool.
