Upgrade installation on a standalone workstation
To perform a program upgrade to Allplan 2022 on a standalone workstation
- Sign in as an administrator on the workstation where Allplan 2022 will be installed.
- Double-click AllplanSetup.exe in the folder you used to unpack the installation package.
- In the welcome screen, under Upgrade, select The program will be updated; all project data, office settings, and user settings will be transferred..
- Confirm the welcome screen by clicking Start setup.
- Confirm the terms of the software license agreement displayed in the following License terms dialog box by clicking Agree.
- Only if you want to perform a custom installation:
Switch to the Options tab of the Settings dialog box and select the components to be installed.- Countries: Content, elements, template files, plan headers, label objects, defined standards and smart symbols typical for the respective country.
- Languages: Languages available for Allplan after installation for displaying menus, texts and templates.
- Further tools: Additional content and tools
- Manufacturer-specific user data: Content provided by the respective manufacturers for further use in Allplan.
- Demo projects: Automatic installation of the demo project “Hello Allplan!”.
- Click Install.
The installation of Allplan 2022 will start.
- After successful installation, you can decide in the Installation dialog box whether Allplan 2022 should start immediately afterwards.
Select or deselect the check box and start Allplan! and confirm with Finish installation.
- Note: If the installation could not be completed successfully, you will receive a corresponding message. In this case, in the folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp you will find the file Error Report of Allplan_Installer.zip. The file contains important information that you can pass on to ALLPLAN GmbH Technical Support in the event that you need to contact them.
- In certain cases, you will be prompted to restart your computer after the installation of Allplan 2022 is complete.
In this case, restart the computer and sign in again after the restart as a local administrator or as a user with administrator rights.
