Draw, modify mitered polygons

Task area 2D Objects

You can use this tool to apply a pattern line to lines, polylines or composite elements. The program takes the pen and color from the Properties palette. A miter can be applied to the corners of the pattern line. You can also modify existing pattern lines.

To apply pattern lines to lines, polylines or composite elements

  1. Click Draw, Modify Mitered Polygons (How).
  2. Click New in the input options.
  3. Click the composite element, line or polyline.

Note: You cannot use this tool to apply pattern lines to curved elements like splines and circles. Therefore, you can apply pattern lines only to lines and polylines of composite elements with curved elements
In this case, create the pattern lines by using the Add, Change Pattern Line tool. Note, however, that this tool creates separate pattern lines for the elements. This means that you cannot miter these pattern lines. Furthermore, Allplan creates the pattern lines by taking the pen and color from the relevant element.

  4. For composite elements and lines, specify from which element and to which element the pattern line is to stretch. Right-click if you want to select the entire composite element or line.
  5. Define the parameters of the pattern line.

Note: To miter the corners of the pattern line, select the Miter option in the Intersection area of the Pattern Line dialog box.

To modify an existing pattern line

  1. Click Draw, Modify Mitered Polygons (How).
  2. Click Modify in the input options.
  3. Click the pattern line.
  4. Define the parameters of the pattern line.

Note: To miter the corners of the pattern line, select the Miter option in the Intersection area of the Pattern Line dialog box.

Off deletes a mitered polyline.
