Space Allocation Wizard

You can use this tool to define how rooms are placed in Allplan drawing files.

You can use the Arrangement tab to specify whether the rooms are placed individually or as a block.
When you have selected the Place rooms as a block option, you can define the distance between the individual rooms.

You can use the Display tab to select colors for rooms with known coordinates and for rooms which are placed using the crosshairs. In addition, you can specify whether an update report is displayed.

To specify how rooms are arranged in drawing files

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. In the Options dialog box specify how rooms are placed in Allplan drawing files. You can choose from the following settings:
   • Arrangement tab
     Place rooms individually
     The rooms are attached to the crosshairs in the sequence in which you entered them and can be placed individually.
     
     Place rooms as a block
     The rooms are placed as a double-row block in the drawing file in a single step.
   • Display tab
     Rooms with known coordinates
     You can choose a color for rooms whose coordinates you know (e.g. due to export from drawing file).
     
     Rooms placed using the crosshairs
     You can choose a color for rooms whose coordinates you do not know. These rooms are attached to the crosshairs and can be placed individually or as a block.
     
     Show update report
     When this option is enabled, the system displays a report providing information on the number and type of rooms placed.

     This setting is valid until you change it.
