Defining and managing project attributes

Sending layouts and other files using Allplan Exchange (how to) / Using attributes

Every project can be given attributes such as building volume, site, building contractor and so on. These project attributes are saved together with the project data when you exchange or back up the project. Separate logging of this project-specific data is thus not necessary.

Note: Alternatively, use the Project Settings dialog box to assign project attributes (see "Assigning attributes to projects").

To define and manage project attributes

  1. Open Allplan Exchange dialog box (How).
  2. Click Layout and project attributes (at bottom left in the viewport border).

The Layout Attributes dialog box appears.

  3. Click Project Attributes at bottom left in the border of the Layout Attributes dialog box.

The Project Attributes dialog box is displayed.

  4. Enter values for the attributes in the individual groups.

All you need to do is click in the Attribute value column of the relevant attribute.

Note: If "Show unassigned values" is selected (toolbar at the top; in this case, the Hide unassigned values button is displayed), the Attribute name column shows all the attributes that are available throughout the office.
If, however, "Hide unassigned values" is selected (toolbar at the top; in this case, the Show unassigned values button is displayed), you can only see the project attributes that actually include values. In this case, click Show unassigned values to display all available attributes.

  5. Click OK twice.

You are back in Allplan Exchange dialog box.
