Editing bitmap

The Edit Bitmap tool includes a number of other tools that you can use to display bitmaps, convert them to other formats, print and edit them. The file names can be up to 70 characters long.

To edit bitmaps

1. Click Edit Bitmap (How).
   

   Activate Edit Bitmap in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File
   • Modify Presentation Animation

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Animation

   The Edit Bitmap window opens.

2. Click Open on the File menu.
3. In the Open File dialog box, specify
   • the path of the bitmap file (the current project's path is the default),
   • the file type of the bitmap file,
   • and the file name of the bitmap file.
   • File Details provides information on the file size, size in pixels and resolution of the selected bitmap file.
   • When Preview is active, a preview of the bitmap is displayed.
4. Click Open.

   The selected bitmap file is displayed in the Edit Bitmap window.

5. If you want, you can now edit the bitmap, convert it to other data formats or print it out. The Shadow calculation: result window provides the following menus:
   • File menu
   • Edit menu
   • View menu
   • Color menu
   • Bitmap menu
   • Effects menu
6. To save the modified bitmap, click Save As ... on the File menu, specify a path, file type and name and click Save.
7. To quit the tool, click Exit on the File menu or press ESC.
