DTM files

Services application, DXF/DWG menu

You can use the DTM files menu to exchange terrain data between the Allplan exchange folder and any folder. In addition, you have the option to display the data or to delete it from the hard drive.

Depending on the backup path set in Configuration - Backup path, procedures for importing and backing up data differ slightly.

The following submenus are available:

Show DTM files

This tool lists DTM files with names ending in *.re1, *.re2, *.reb or *.asc located in the User exchange folder or in the exchange folder of a Named project.

Restore DTM files

You can use this tool to copy DTM files from any folder to the User exchange folder or to the exchange folder of a Named project. Self-decompressing files or files in ZIP format can be decompressed.

Copy the data to any folder on the hard disk or network. Start by selecting the destination folder (User exchange folder or exchange folder of a Named project). Then select the folder where the data is located and follow the program's dialog.

Save DTM files

This tool lists DTM files with names ending in *.re1, *.re2, *.reb or *.asc located in the User exchange folder or in the exchange folder of a Named project in a multi-select dialog box.

Select the desired files and follow the program's backup dialog.

If you choose compressed as the type of backup, the selected data will be compressed using the ZIP format and converted to a dgm.zip file.

Delete DTM files

This tool lists DTM files with names ending in *.re1, *.re2, *.reb or *.asc located in the User exchange folder or in the exchange folder of a Named project in a multi-select dialog box.

Select the files you want to delete. Once you confirm the security prompt, the files will be deleted for good.
