Converting drawing files to earlier versions

You can use this tool to convert drawing files of the current version to drawing files compatible with version 2011, 2012 or 2013. This enables you to provide your planning partners who work with older Allplan versions with data for further processing.

To convert Allplan drawing files down to earlier versions

• Before you convert the documents, use Allplan's data administration tools to copy the data from the project to any backup folder, preferably to the external path.
• Exit Allplan before you carry out the Convert drawing files to earlier versions tool.

1. In the Services application, click File.
2. Click Convert drawing files to earlier versions.
3. Select the version to which you want to convert the documents.
4. Specify the folder with the data you want to convert and click OK to confirm.

   Note: To ensure that data is not deleted inadvertently, you cannot select folders with original data.

   Note: This tool creates a log file that you should view with the Show log command.

5. You may now further edit the data and copy it to storage media, for example.
