Converting data to current version

You can use this tool to convert data (as well as entire projects) of version 2011, 2012 or 2013 to the current version. The data must be on the local computer or on the network.

To convert Allplan data to the current version

• Prior to conversion, use Allplan's data administration tools to copy the data from the project to any backup folder, preferably to the external path. The Convert data to current version tool will delete all the data in this buffer.
• Exit Allplan before you carry out the Convert data to current version tool.

1. In the Services application, click File.
2. Click Convert data to current version.
3. Specify the folder with the data you want to convert (for example, the external path) and click OK to confirm.

   This converts the data in the selected folder.

   Note: To ensure that data is not deleted inadvertently, you cannot select folders with original data.

   Note: This tool creates a log file that you should view with the Show log command.

4. Use ProjectPilot to save the converted data to a project of your choice.

   Note: It is a good idea to delete the data from the folder where you saved it temporarily for the conversion (for example, the external path).
