Stretch 3D Surface

3D QuickSketch

You can use this tool to move an existing surface of a 3D object so that it is perpendicular to the start and end points of the sketch.

To move the surface of a 3D object along a sketch

1. Press and hold down the ALT key and click with the left mouse button in the workspace.
2. Select the Stretch 3D Surface mode.
3. Press and hold down the ALT key and start drawing the sketch on the surface you want to move; release the mouse button at the end point for the move.

   The surface is moved so that it is perpendicular up to the end point of the sketch.

   Note: You can even move the surface into the solid. If the end point of the sketch is outside the solid again, the solid or parts of it are deleted.
