Basics: reference planes + Default Planes tool + Using the Clipboard
Default planes are part of a document and normally, they cannot be selected separately.
When you want to copy or move drawing file data to a different document using the Clipboard or Copy, Move Elements between Documents and click All in the input options (you can also double-click the right mouse button or use CTRL+A), all the elements – including the default planes - are selected.
The copied default planes may overwrite the setting of the default planes in the destination drawing file. This will change the height settings of existing elements in the destination drawing file if they are associated with the default planes.
To exclude the default planes, select the elements you want to copy or move (including the custom planes) by enclosing them in a selection rectangle or using the brackets.
