Defining cross-sections automatically

The program automatically calculates the cross-sections at station points without cross-section definitions. All station points that are beyond the first and last cross-section are based on the ”first” and ”last” cross-section.

If a station point without a defined cross-section is between two stations points with defined cross-sections, the program uses linear interpolation to calculate the points of the new polyline.

Note: You can edit cross-sections calculated automatically by the program in the same way as cross-sections you defined directly. Select the relevant station point in the tree structure or Elevation preview and click Lock current cross-section on the shortcut menu, Cross-Section toolbar or Edit menu.
