Offset definition

Tool(s): Properties of the bridge, civil engineering modeler

By defining an offset, you can move and rotate the entire route, thus moving it from the global coordinate system into the local coordinate system defined by the offset. This makes it easier for you to enter station points.

You can define a separate offset for each route. This offset applies only to entries you make in the bridge and civil engineering modeler. It does not affect the export of routes. In other words, Allplan always exports the original route of the global coordinate system.

To define an offset

  1. Select the route or one of its station points and click General Properties on the Default toolbar or Edit menu.
  2. Select the Offset Definition tab.
  3. Select the Active Offset option.
  4. Enter the Offset coordinates for the displacement in [m] and the Offset angle for the rotation in [°].

Note: The values set are added to the original values or subtracted from the offset values. Check the status bar: OFF indicates an active offset.
