Vehicle catalog

You can use the Vehicle Catalog to define properties for the vehicles. By default, the catalog contains the vehicles of FGSV-No.283, edition 2005, and of VSS 1990 (CH).

You can create new vehicles, modify existing vehicles and create new vehicle groups. Click Save when you have finished or click Close and acknowledge the prompt asking whether you want to save the changes.

To create a new vehicle group

1. Click Create new vehicle group.
2. Enter a name and file name for the new vehicle group.
   When you create the path, you can see the name of the vehicle group in the title bar of the dialog box. The program saves the data of the vehicle group to a file with the name specified in the ...\STD\Traffic2000 folder.
   

To create a new vehicle

1. Select the vehicle group to which you want to add a new vehicle.
2. If you want, you can select an existing vehicle to match its properties.
3. Click Create new vehicle.
4. Enter the properties for the new vehicle or modify the settings you have copied from an existing vehicle. Check the direction of movement.
   Based on the radius for the turning circle and the track width, the program calculates the minimum radius, which you can use when you create the path.
   

To modify a vehicle group or vehicle

1. Select the vehicle group or the vehicle you want to modify.
2. Change the settings.
   

To check that the entries in the catalog are complete

1. Select the vehicle group or the vehicle you want to check.
2. Click Catalog info.

   The program issues messages if the vehicle group or vehicle is missing entries or settings. In this case, the program cannot save the catalog.
   

To delete a vehicle group or vehicle

1. Select the vehicle group or the vehicle you want to delete.
2. Click Delete selection.
