Shape for Each Side of Polygon

You can use this to define the bending shape to be applied to the edges of the shell polygon, regardless of the general bending shape set. This allows you to define hooks at the supports and create straight lap joints at the same time, for example.
If you do not define a bending shape for all the edges of the shell polygon, the general bending shape is applied to these regions

To specify the bending shape to be applied to the edges of a shell polygon

  1. On the Context toolbar, click Shape for Each Side of Polygon.
  2. Select a bending shape.
Use one of the following options provided on the Context toolbar.
  3. Specify the side of the polygon to which you want to apply the bending shape:
  4. Click the side of the polygon and define the region, if necessary.

The selected bending shape is displayed.

Note: You can Undo and Redo all the settings you have made step by step.

When you define regions, the program overwrites any definitions you made beforehand. Exception: the new region is fully bounded by an existing region. You cannot move or delete regions.

To modify a bending shape applied to the edges of a shell polygon

  1. On the Context toolbar, click Shape for Each Side of Polygon.
  2. Select a bending shape.
Use one of the following options provided on the Context toolbar.
  3. Start by assigning the bending shape to the entire side of the polygon using Use edge of shell.
  4. Undo this operation.
  5. If necessary, define a new region using Enter points freely.

Note: You can use Undo to modify the region you defined last.
