Tool(s): Create coupler connection to close small opening
When small openings are closed by a coupler connection, the program checks whether the required minimum and maximum distances are complied with. These distances are defined by the selected turnbuckle, position coupler or special connection.
Opening dimensions of SAH turnbuckle
You can use turnbuckle T3105 to connect threaded bars that are not free to move lengthwise and cannot be rotated either. The required bar spacing is obtained by subtracting the minimum length of thread engagement (L1) of the coupling bar and (Lw) of the connecting bar from the length (L) of the turnbuckle. A turnbuckle consists of a tensioning coupler and a change-over coupler, which is screwed into the tensioning coupler by the value minA.
The minimum and maximum spacing of the threaded bars is calculated from the required bar spacing plus/minus a tolerance of 5mm.

Opening dimensions for BARTEC special connection of the DGB type
The bar spacing must always be 25 mm, regardless of the diameter. This results in a clearance of +/- 25 mm. Please note that the special connection of the DGB type requires intermediate reinforcement which needs to be connected with the reinforcement around the edge of the opening to be closed. This reinforcement is not automatically created by Allplan. You do not need to take into account the special features.
