• Filename extension: *.asc
• Data fields: Pnt No. , X , Y , Z , Code
• User-defined format (set up in the relevant module’s defaults)
• The data row ”***”is used to separate elements.

Note: Code point IDs can be any of the following:

• Stations at points on the location line (Pnt-No < 0 only user-defined ASCII-format coordinates)
• Point type

This explains why negative point numbers sometimes occur in coordinate files.

Point numbers are administered as numbers and not as string names.
