Adding a breakline

To create a breakline
- Click
Breakline (How). - Click the DTM in which you want to create a breakline.
- Click New in the Input options.
- Click a grid point or an element on which the grid points are located, and enter the breakline using the polyline entry tools.

Notes:
- You can also create and delete breaklines in order to manually define a mesh.
- Contour lines are generally interpolated linearly in the area where the breaklines pass.
- The new breakline has precedence at the points where it intersects existing breaklines.
- Deleting a grid point on which a breakline is based will cause the breakline to be deleted, too.
- Grid points on breaklines are automatically meshed into the model. This can happen with bifurcations, for example, where the fold point is a separate grid point within an edge.
- The breakline sections that overlap are taken into consideration just once.
- Breakline are calculated internally with
Freeform Slope and
Slope and read directly with Import, Export Point File.
