Profile parameters for "Angle and Section Line"

Parameters for profile section

You can use orthogonal, inclined and freeform section lines. Polygonal section lines require a bearer element.

To obtain an orthogonal section line

1. Click one of the four buttons on the Context toolbar:
   Horizontal, upward profile
   Horizontal, downward profile
   Vertical, right-pointing profile
   Vertical, left-pointing profile
2. Click a point in the workspace through which the section line is to pass.

To obtain an inclined section line

1. On the context toolbar, click Angle.
2. Specify the angle of the section line by:
   • entering the angle at the keyboard.
   • clicking two points.
   • clicking a line whose angle you want to use.
3. Click a point in the workspace through which the section line is to pass.

To obtain a section line with an arbitrary number of bends

• Click an element. The section line is created based on the outline of that element.
