Supports configuration entry

Configuration(s): solid floor: entry

'Supports' tab

End face, support width proposed:

[cm] The standard value for bearing width in span direction. This value also applies to inclined edges.

Longit. side, support width:

[cm] The standard value for bearing width transverse to span direction.

Adjust to perpendicular in the case of sloping roofs:

Default setting for automatic calculation of supports in conjunction with roof design based on hip/ridge and/or valley/eaves.
If this check box is enabled, the elements are moved on the roof plane so that their outlines and a plane that is perpendicular to the global xy plane and that passes through the ridge or valley line touch (i.e. have a point in common).

'Bar overlap' tab

Bottom / top layer of bars
Bar overlap in span direction:

[cm] The standard value for bar overlap in the span direction. This value also applies to inclined edges.

Bottom / top layer of bars
Bar overlap transverse to it:

[cm] The standard value for bar overlap transverse to the span direction.

Use top layer
of bars:

If this check box is enabled, a top layer is used.

'Labeling' tab

Text in labels of ...

You can use a pattern and variables to specify the text in labels for supports, bar overlaps and chamfered elements.
In the case of chamfered elements, you can also enter the text to be used in the label while defining these elements.

Pattern:

Entry of text to be used in label. The variable values (floating point numbers) are entered as placeholders using formatting characters (%g and/or %f). The program replaces the formatting characters with the corresponding values. When you use %g, trailing zeroes and the decimal point are only output if this is necessary.

You can also define how the numbers are to be output:

%3g: output of at least 3 characters (including decimal point); blanks are added.

%03g: as above; however, zeroes (e.g. 002) are added.

%.3f: output of 3 decimal places.

%6.3f: output of a total of 6 characters (including decimal point) and 3 decimal places.

Variable:

Enter an arithmetical expression for each wildcard. The ',' character is used as a separator. Arithmetical expressions can be arithmetical operators, numbers and variables.
Support, EisUebU and EisUebO can be used as variables for supports and bar overlaps and dx and dz can be used for chamfered elements.

Examples

You wish to label supports and bar overlaps with xx.x/xx.x.

In the ”Pattern” line, enter %g/%g
In the ”Variable” line, enter Support,EisUebU

You want to label chamfered elements with Ce:xx.x/xx.x.

In the ”Pattern” line, enter Ce:%.1f/%.1f
In the ”Variable” line, enter dx,dz

List support/bar overlap beyond 0/0:

If the support and the bar overlap is 0, then the label '0/0' at the edges can be suppressed.
