'General' tab
Preferred position of fitted panel:
The standard value for the position of the fitted panel in slab design. The following options are available:
Preferred fitted panel when minimum width is not adhered to:
Specify whether two fitted panels maximum, a strip made of insitu concrete or one fitted panel maximum is/are created if the width of the fitted panel(s) is less than the minimum width.
Minimum web width:
The program will not form panel web widths narrower than this value. They can result from unfavorable dimensions (at a room corner) or around an opening. A practical value is 8-10cm. Narrower web widths than this cannot really be produced and tend to break in transport.
Joint between elements:
[cm] Initial value for the joint between the individual panels.
'Sloping edges and arcs' tab
Maximum angle at inclined end faces:
Limit for angle between the end face and the perpendicular to the span direction. If this value is exceeded, the element cannot be produced. The program will issue a relevant message when designing.
Example
Minimum angle at end face:
Minimum angle at longitudinal side:
This value indicates the angle above which the element's cutting edge is created so that it is parallel to the support. The angle along the support is the angle between the longitudinal side and the perpendicular to the span direction or between the longitudinal side and the span direction.
If the angle at the end face and/or longitudinal side is less than the value defined, a straight element is created at the corresponding side. This results in benching at the end faces of neighboring elements.
The limits defined in the Supports configuration entry are used for calculating the support widths automatically.
Example
Approximation of arcs:
Yes: existing arcs are used to approximate the end faces of the elements (with as few edges as possible).
The limits defined in the Supports configuration entry are used for calculating the support widths automatically.
Maximum number of edges for approximation:
Maximum number of edges permitted when existing arcs are used to approximate the end faces of elements.
'Marks' tab
Assignment of marks:
Specify which mark numbers are assigned to precast elements when they are created. Elements that are modified later are also given the mark numbers specified here. This also applies if you have rearranged the elements manually using the Modify Mark Number tool in the meantime.
Zero: the elements are initially assigned the mark number zero and will be rearranged manually later.
Ascending: the elements are assigned numbers in ascending order.
Identical: while creating elements, the program automatically performs various checks based on the following criteria:
