Program: Allplan 2016

We adjusted and restructured the libraries that come with Allplan 2016. If you want to use symbols, smart symbols or SmartParts from the libraries of Allplan 2015, you can download those library elements as ZIP files from Allplan Connect.

To use library elements from Allplan 2015 in the current version

1. Start Allplan Connect and log in.
2. Download the libraries you need.
3. Decompress the file and save it in any folder on your computer.
4. Start Allplan 2016.
5. Open the Library palette.
6. Select the External path folder.
7. Click Add path at the bottom of the toolbar and select the folder with the decompressed files.

   Allplan automatically converts the data if this is necessary.

   Note: Data conversion can take some time, in particular, when Allplan converts all symbol folders. If you know which folders you want to use in Allplan 2016, you should select these data in Windows Explorer and move them to a separate folder.

8. Copy the folders or library elements you want to use from the External path folder to a different folder, such as the Office, Private or Project folder.
