Joining precast elements

Join Precast Elements is not a standard part of Allplan Precast. If you want to use this tool, contact technical support.

You can use this tool to combine two precast elements into one element. This is an advantage when there are two architectural walls which give rise to two precast elements that ought to be one element by virtue of their dimensions.

To join two precast elements to form one element

1. Click Join Precast Elements (How).
   

   Activate Join Precast Elements in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Precast Factories Precast Wall

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Precast Wall

2. Click the first element. This precast element defines all the parameters for the design mode, such as, reinforcement type, concrete cover and so on.
3. Click the second element. The program joins the two precast elements, forming a new one.
   

Note: If you modify this wall later (for example, by inserting windows), the program will split it into individual walls again.
