Modifying recesses
Module(s): Precast Wall
This tool requires an architectural wall to be drawn first. Then the wall is designed using precast concrete elements. Finally a recess of any shape is drawn. Make sure that this recess is completely within the panel.
Now you can use this tool to create longitudinal bars, cross bars, girders or additional bars that pass through recesses. You can define reinforcement for trimming for attached reinforcement or modify the bar overlaps and bending shapes at the recess edges.
To modify recesses in a precast wall
- Click
Modify Recesses (How). - Select all the recesses you want to modify together by clicking them, enclosing them in a selection rectangle or fence, or using the bracket tool.
- Click
Properties and choose one of the options available for modifying recesses:- In the Reinforcement tab, click the reinforcement elements that should not be cut into at the recesses. You can do this for the visible side and the invisible side of the wall.
- To define reinforcement for trimming for attached reinforcement, select the Reinforcement for trimming option in the Replace reinforcement in opening list box and define parameters in the Trimming tab. You can make separate settings for the visible and hidden wall sides.
Note: When you select Yes in the list box, the reinforcement cut out is added to the sides; when set to No, secondary reinforcement is not placed. - To modify the bar overlaps and bending shapes at the recess edges, change the settings in the BarOv, BendShp tab.
- Click OK to apply the changes.
The reinforcement of the wall is recreated automatically. The program changes the selected reinforcement elements so that they pass through all the selected recesses and modifies the bar overlaps and bending shapes at the recess edges
