Form group elements based on reinforcement elements
Tool(s): Structural Starter Bars
When creating new group elements, you can convert any wall corners, T-connections etc. into group elements. The elements are saved in a file and can then be placed anywhere with the
Place Based on Geometric Outline and
Place from File tools. You even have the option of entering unplaced reinforcement elements.
To form group elements from reinforcement elements
- On the Structural Starter Bars Context toolbar, click
Form Group Elements based on Reinforcement Elements. - In the workspace, click on a reinforcement element with a mandatory point that you want to place as a group element.
- Define a symbol drop-in point. The symbol created is attached by this point to the crosshairs by clicking
Place from File. - Specify the type of symbol you want to create. Define the symbol as a Dumb symbol without Snoop functionality.
- Choose an existing file from the symbol catalog or create a new one by entering a name.
- Enter a for the symbol.
- If you clicked an existing entry, confirm that you wish to overwrite it when prompted.
