Structural starter bars, place from file

Tool(s): Structural Starter Bars

To place the on site starter bars from a file

1. On the Structural Starter Bars Context toolbar, click Place from File.
2. Select the file in the Export Data dialog box and the group element to be placed. Clicking the Element Label: Overview... button opens a table containing all the group element IDs. Confirm your entries.
3. The selected element is attached to the crosshairs. The Input options include additional tools that help you place the reinforcement cage.
   

   

   Specify the point by which the element is attached to the crosshairs.

   SymPnt

   This setting uses the drop-in point you selected when you defined the element.

   Ang=0/?

   The element can be placed at an angle of 0 or at any angle (?). When set to ?, you can enter the angle after having placed the element, or you can click a line and match its angle.

   Cursor snap angle

   You can set the angle by which the element is rotated when you click the + or - keys at the keyboard.

4. Place the cage in a suitable position in the workspace. The unassociated reinforcement cage is placed but cannot be modified.
5. Continue with placements from file or quit the tool by clicking Cancel in the Export Data dialog box.
