Wall reinforcement defaults

Tool(s): Structural Starter Bars

3D shell, use heights

Check this box if you wish to use the height of the architectural wall or that of the precast element for the structural starter bars.

If this check box is not enabled, you can enter the Placing height and Elevation at start of placement parameters manually in the Place Based on Geometric Outline Context toolbar.

Schedules

You can place the created schedules including a detailed list of reinforcement cages in the drawing file and amend the schedule size in accordance with the resizing factor.

Standard connections

Std. cage height in cm: this entry is required to calculate the bill.

Billing factor: e.g., 0.5, i.e. the cages are rounded to one half.

Limit angle L-joint: this entry indicates the angle above which a corner connection is used rather than a gap joint.

Limit angle L and T: spacing grid for placing of corners or T-connections. If e.g., you enter an angle of 10 degrees, then the program uses a 45 degree corner for angles between 35-65 degrees.

Element modification

By checking the individual boxes, you can alter the diameter of the transverse and/or longitudinal reinforcement, the height of the concrete cover and the spacing. You can then enter these four parameters in the Place Based on Geometric Outline Context toolbar.

Check the Overlap - longit. reinforcement box to enter the desired overlap (top and/or bottom) in cm.

If you do not check any of these boxes, the program places the reinforcement cage unaltered, i.e. as in the element file.

Round cage height

Check this box to enter a round-off value in cm.

Replace cages

If a double wall connection is already reinforced, then it is replaced. To do this you have to enter a snap radius in cm.

Use face stirrups only

When you check this box, connections are split into face joins, I.e. one corner connections consists of two face joins.
