Place Cage Reinforcement

Tool(s): Structural Starter Bars, Place based on Geometric Outline

After placing the standard cages, you can place the cage reinforcement. This reinforcement can only be placed where there is already a standard cage. The criterion for element selection is the wall thickness ranges given in the symbol names.

To place cage reinforcement

1. On the Context toolbar, click Place Cage Reinforcement.
2. If necessary, change the cage attributes in the Place Cage Reinforcement Context toolbar.
3. Using the Input options you can either place the cage reinforcement manually (Manu) or have it done automatically (Auto).
4. If you select Auto, you should then select the area in which the joined cages are to be placed.
5. If you select Manu, you should then use the search area to select the precast unit connection at which the site connection reinforcement is to be placed. Define the connection point.
6. Select one of the reinforcement cages listed in the Select Variant dialog box.
7. After confirming your selection, the program places the reinforcement cage in the correct position in the precast unit.
8. You can place another reinforcement cage by clicking the New Alternative tool. If this tool is enabled, then the Select Variant dialog box appears again for connection points with the same geometry. You can now select another type of connection. If the tool is disabled, then the same connection type as before is placed at connection points with the same geometry, without a prompt.
9. Click Cancel to quit placing.
