Modify Area Loads

You can use Modify Area Load to modify area loads.

To modify an area load

1. Click Modify Special Loads (How).
   

   Activate Modify Special Loads in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Precast Factories Precast Floor

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Precast Floor

2. Enable the required load case by clicking Define Load Case.
3. On the Modify Special Loads Context toolbar click Modify Area Load.
4. Change the parameters as required:
   • On the Modify Area Load Context toolbar, click Area Load Pz. Enter the modified load in [kN/m²].
   • Click Perpendicular to roof or Vertical to roof to modify the load direction of a wind load which acts as an area load on a roof surface.
     

     Load direction

     When a point load, line load or area load acts on a roof element, you can define the load direction of a wind load here.

     Vertical to roof surface	At right angles to roof surface

     A Roof surface

     B Single load PZ

5. You can also use Match to read and copy existing area loads.
6. Click the display of the area load to be modified. The display changes accordingly.
7. Click Cancel to finish.
