Basic rules for element plans
Tool(s): Element Plan
Please note the following when creating element plans:
- You can define the sheet size and thus the border size or you can have the program calculate the size automatically.
- To ensure that there is sufficient space for all the views within the border, the program selects the scale that suits best from the scales defined in the selected layout. Alternatively, you can use the Maximum size setting to have the program select the scale that produces the largest possible representation of the elements. This, however, usually results in scales that are not commonly used in the building industry.
- You can also use a fixed scale.
This is particularly interesting when you want to try out various combinations of scale and layout. A preview helps you judge if manual additions fit in the element plan. - When you change the layout or scale of a precast element later, the positions of the views, dimension lines created automatically and the table need to be adjusted. You can specify whether to retain or delete manual additions and/or change notices.
- The border and title block are added automatically to the preview and to printouts.
- The program provides two switches you can use to show/hide reinforcement on the sides of the pallet and inlet. Overlapping additional reinforcement is displayed on the side of the pallet.
- Arc shaped additional bars are displayed in the table (similar to bending shapes of stirrup cages).
- Additional reinforcement can be listed and labeled separately in the table (Bottom and Top, Visible and Invisible). However, identical elements are always given the same "local" mark number (provided you have made this setting in the configurations).
