Adding a virtual ground plane

Tool(s): Surroundings

To add a virtual ground plane

1. Click Surroundings (How).
   

   Activate Surroundings in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Presentation Animation

   • Toolbar: Change
   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Animation

   • Shortcut menu: Navigation Mode selected - Right mouse button

   The Surroundings palette opens.

2. Select the Virtual ground plane option on the Position of sun / north or the Location tab.
3. Set the other parameters for the virtual ground plane.
4. Close the Surroundings palette by pressing ESC or clicking Close.

Tip: You do not need a Virtual ground plane for rendering an image with a bitmap in the background.
