Crane location

Module(s): Precast Slab + Precast Wall

You can use the Crane Location tool to define one or more crane locations. You should do this before you carry out the Design tool, as the program takes the crane parameters into account in the design of individual panels.

To define the crane location

1. Click Crane Location (How).
   

   Activate Crane Location in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Precast Factories Precast Floor/Precast Wall

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Precast Floor

   Precast Wall

2. Click the Select Crane Type field in the Crane Location Context toolbar. Select one of the cranes listed there.
   Note:
   You can see the parameters (radius, load capacity) for the chosen cranes listed in the crane catalog in the Catalogs. You can define a new crane with an appropriate radius in the external catalog program or delete the current cranes at any time.
   If you want to re-enter the settings for a previously-used crane, click and select the appropriate crane from the workspace.
3. Enter the radius required for your current crane location.
4. Specify the start angle and the slewing range. The program automatically adjusts the element lengths based on the crane radius and the maximum weight.
5. Position the crane location point on the working space with the left mouse button.
6. The program displays the slewing range with radius and load capacity information graphically.
7. You can remove a defined crane location with the Delete tool (Edit menu) .
