Placement rule

Initially, only the From one side option is available. Starting from a side or the bottom level, the program places the insulating boards up to the other end. Fitted boards are placed as the next to last board. This is to avoid small strips at the end.

Placing angle

You can define how the boards are placed. The zero position of the insulating boards in the catalog is used as the basis.

• When the angle is set to 0°, the Length defined in the Insulation material catalog is applied in the direction of the wall length and the boards are placed on top of one another in rows of the Width specified.
• When the angle is set to 90°, the Length defined in the Insulation material catalog is applied in the direction of the wall height and the boards are placed beside one another in columns of the Width specified.

Determine number of rows

You can specify how the boards are to be placed in the direction of the board width.

Half panel rule: if the width of the next to last board falls below the minimum width, the program places a board of half the width as the third to last board and a fitted board as the next to last board.

Panels of minimum width: if the width of the next to last board falls below the minimum width, the program places a fitted board as the third to last board and a board of the minimum width as the next to last board.

Determine number of boards

You can specify how the boards are to be placed in the direction of the board length.

Panels of minimum length: if the length of the next to last board falls below the minimum length, the program places a fitted board as the third to last board and a board of the minimum length as the next to last board.

Recesses possible

Recesses in insulating boards are usually not possible. If this option is not selected, any board containing one or more small inner recesses is cut so that the recesses are at an edge. The program tries to produce as short a cut as possible. If the program can choose between a number of similar cuts, it always cuts the board on the side of the opening that is closer to the overall center of gravity of the uncut board.
