Circular 3D surface

Tool(s): 3D Surface

To enter a circular 3D surface

1. Click 3D Surface (How).
   

   Activate 3D Surface in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools 3D Modeling

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   3D Modeling

   • Configuration: Design Basic 3D Elements flyout
2. The 3D Surface Context toolbar appears. Click Circular 3D Surface.
3. To draw the circular 3D surface, select one of the following options in the input options:
   • Circle based on center
     Define the circle based on the center point and radius.
   • Circle based on 2 points
     Define two points through which the circle is to pass.
   • Circle based on 2 points and radius/diameter.
     Click the points of the circle or the elements that are to be at a tangent to the circle.

     Define how the circular surface is to be closed:

   • Sector
     The program uses lines from the arc end points to the center of the circle.
   • Chord
     The program uses a chord between the arc end points.
4. Enter the required points.
5. Enter the start and end points of the arc. To draw a full circle, press ESC.

   Tip: You can undo the entries you have made step by step by clicking Back in the Input Options.

   Allplan creates the circular surface.
