Palette for Window/Door/Shading/Domed Roof-Light SmartPart + Window SmartParts + Door SmartParts
Using this tab, you can define how the elements making up the SmartPart look in 3D.
3D representation tab
Format
Layer: you can select the layer on which you want to place the SmartPart in 3D. The default setting is AR_WIND for windows and AR_DOOR for doors.
Format from Layer: when you select this option, the settings for pen, line type and color are taken from the selected layer.
Pen / Line type: when Format from Layer is not selected, you can choose the pen and line type.
Note: The ToolTip of the SmartPart always shows the layer you selected on the Format toolbar when you created the SmartPart. This layer includes the instance of the SmartPart. But the elements that make up the SmartPart are on the layers you assigned to them in 2D and 3D.
Surface elements
By selecting one of the check boxes, you can assign a Hatching style, a Pattern, a Fill or a Style area to the surfaces in 3D.
Opening symbol
Show: when you select this option, the opening symbol is displayed and you can select a line type.
Line type: you can select a line type for the opening symbol in 3D.
Colors
You can use the defaults set for the Colors of the SmartPart elements or specify your own colors.
This is only possible if the Format from Layer option is not selected in the Elements area.
All equal: you can specify which effect the color setting has on the creation of elements:
If All equal is not selected (default setting), you can use the colors preset for all the elements listed or select a color on the dropdown menu.
If All equal is selected, the SmartPart elements are combined into groups (for example, glass, hardware). You can then select colors for the individual groups.
Transfer all: click the Transfer button to apply the selected colors to all the elements of the SmartPart.
Attention! Clicking Transfer all overwrites the colors you have selected for the individual elements in the 3D representation area of the Elements tab!
Surfaces
You can use the defaults set for the Surfaces of the SmartPart elements or specify your own surfaces.
All equal: you can specify which effect the surface setting has on the creation of elements:
If All equal is not selected (default setting), you can use the surfaces preset for all the elements listed or select a surface file (SURF file format, Allplan surface file) by clicking the corresponding button. Click to switch off surfaces.
If All equal is selected, the SmartPart elements are combined into groups (for example, glass, hardware). You can then select surfaces for the individual groups.
Transfer all: click the Transfer button to apply the selected surfaces to all the elements of the SmartPart.
Attention! Clicking Transfer all overwrites the surfaces you have selected in the 3D representation area of the Elements tab!
Level of detail
Casement position closed / open: these options define whether the casements or door leaves are open or closed in 3D.
