Deriving from MWS reinforcement group

Module(s): Precast Slab + Precast Wall + Structural Precast Elements

You can use the Derive from MWS Reinforcement Group tool to create to scale, non-associative views of MWS reinforcement groups.

To create views of MWS reinforcement groups

1. Click Derive from MWS Reinforcement Group (How).
   

   Activate Derive from MWS Reinforcement Group in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Precast Precast Slab/Precast Wall/Structural Precast Elements

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Precast Slab

   Precast Wall

   Structural Precast Elements

2. Select the reinforcement groups you want to display. If you want to select the whole group, it is enough to click an element of the group.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

   • Click Find Elements in the input options to find groups based on advanced criteria.
   • Select the groups by clicking them, enclosing them in a selection rectangle, or using the bracket tool
     or
     Double-click with the right mouse button or click All in the input options to select all groups.

     A to-scale, non-associative representation of the first reinforcement group is attached to the crosshairs. This representation consists of the unfolded mesh, a bent elevation view and a section. The unfolded representation is based on the length along the bar axis.

3. If necessary, enter an angle of rotation in the dialog line and place the representation in the workspace.
4. Use the same approach to place views of more groups. The tool closes automatically.
