Defining formats for layout borders

Tool(s): Layout Border

You can save formats of layout borders under a name of your choice. You can then select these formats when you place a layout border using the Layout Border tool, Format area.

To define new formats for layout borders

• You must be logged in as the administrator or as a user with administrator privileges.

1. Click Layout Border (How).
   

   Activate Layout Border in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Layout

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Layout

   Crop layout

2. In the Format area, select the format you want to use as the template.
3. Enter the Width and Height of the new format.

   [User-defined format] is entered for the name of the format.

4. Click in the Format box, enter a name for the new format and press ENTER to confirm.
   

Note: To delete existing formats for layout borders, click on the right in the list box of the formats.
