Using print sets

When you place documents in a layout, you can select a print set so that only a specific selection of layers is visible in the layout.

A print set is a compilation of layers which can be selected during design and when placing layer elements in a layout. Only those layers contained in the selected print set are then printed.

To use a print set for assembling layouts

1. In the Layout module, click  Layout Element (How) or  NDW Layout Element (How)
   

   Activate NDW Layout Element in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Layout

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Layout

   

   Activate Layout Element in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Layout

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Layout

2. If necessary, select an NDW layout element.
3. Click Layer/print set on the context toolbar.

   

4. In the Visibility, saving mode, behavior area, enable the Print set, current setting of the selected print set (dynamic) option.

   

5. Select the print set you want to use.
