Replacing output device in layouts
Tool(s): Open on a Project-Specific Basis
You can replace the output device set for printing a layout without opening the
Print Layouts tool. All you need to do is select the Open on a project-specific basis: layouts dialog box and click
Replace output device in layouts.
To replace an output device
- You must be logged in as the administrator or as a user with administrator privileges.
- In the Layout module, click
Open on a Project-Specific Basis (How)Tip: You can also double-click the left mouse button in the workspace.
- Click
Replace output device in layouts.Selecting this tool opens a dialog box where you can replace the printer with a different one.
- The Find box shows the printer that is set for the current layout, and the Found in box shows the current layout.
You can use the Find button to scan the active project for all layouts that use the printer displayed.
Open the Replace with list box and select one of the printers provided. - After having selected a different printer, you can decide whether you want to use the new printer only for the layout displayed in Found in or for all layouts of the active project.
Consequently, choose- Replace all if you want to use the new printer for all layouts.
Or - Replace if you want to use the new printer only for the layout displayed in Found in.
- If there are more layouts that use the printer displayed, the Found in box shows these layouts. Here, too, you can immediately replace the printer.
- Click Close to confirm.
